Building Policies

At Agganis Arena, we work diligently to make our facility safe and secure for our guests, employees, and vendors.

To provide a safer environment for the public, Agganis Arena will not allow any bag that exceeds 12” x 12” x 6” into the facility. All guests are subject to search. Please allow additional time for entry and please plan accordingly.

To help ensure the highest level of safety and security, all Arena guests, employees, and vendors are subject to security searches and a courtesy screening, which may include metal detection devices.

Doors are open one hour prior to the start of an event. Parking lots and the VIP entrance open 90 minutes prior to the start of an event.

Agganis Arena is a smoke and vape free facility. Guests are not allowed to smoke or vape inside the building. In addition, for the safety of our guests and for the health and comfort of others, there are no areas designated for smoking or vaping outside of Agganis Arena. This prohibition applies to all smokeable or vapeable products, including but not limited to tobacco and marijuana products.

Guests are prohibited from bringing alcoholic beverages into Agganis Arena.

ID Requirements
Regardless of age, to purchase alcoholic beverages a guest must present a valid Massachusetts driver’s license, valid Massachusetts ID Card showing age over 21, Massachusetts liquor ID, passport, or military ID, which indicates the guest to be a least 21 years of age. (Duplicate licenses, expired licenses, damaged licenses, and driver’s licenses that do not have photos will not be accepted.) Out-of-state licenses are acceptable only if the guest is at least 25 years of age and another form of identification (e.g., credit card) will be required if the guest is between 25 and 30 years of age. The guest’s birth date will be required to be entered on the point of sale system prior to making a sale of an alcoholic beverage. Any guest who presents false or fake identification in order to obtain alcohol or who passes alcohol to a minor may be subject to eviction and arrest.

Any guest in the possession of an alcoholic beverage on the premises may be requested to produce identification, which must satisfy the foregoing requirements. Failure to produce such identification will result in confiscation of the alcoholic beverage.

We reserve the right not to sell alcohol or to discontinue the sale of alcohol at any time. We will reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to decline to serve an alcoholic beverage to any guest. Any guest in the possession of alcoholic beverages not obtained on premises will be subject to eviction. For events open to the general public, non-alcoholic beverages that are served as alternatives to alcoholic beverages (e.g., non-alcoholic brews, non-alcoholic sparkling wines) will not be sold to guests under the age of 21. Additional restrictions upon the service of alcoholic beverage sales may be implemented without notice.

Military Identification Cards
The following forms of Military ID are accepted for the purchase of alcoholic beverages:

  • A valid retired military identification card that states that the expiration is indefinite on the front and has a birth date and an expiration date printed on the back of the card.
  • We do not accept Dependant Military Identification Cards.
  • We do not accept Merchant Marine Identification Cards.
