GUEST SERVICES/EVENT STAFF

Usher/Ticket Takers/Elevator Attendant

Responsibilities: The Usher/Ticket Taker will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service primarily at Agganis Arena and also Case Center events as needed. Responsibilities include scanning tickets at entry points, directing guests to their seats, and handling guest service issues including, but not limited to, incidents occurring in the Arena bowl and concourse, general Arena and event issues, alcohol awareness, lost children, and guests with special needs. The Elevator Attendant will directly interact with Premium Seat ticket holders with responsibilities including greeting and directing guests at entry to the building in the Agganis Arena parking garage, determining proper point of entry for guests, directing guests to the Francis D. Burke Club Room and to their seats, enforcing and assisting with building alcohol policy, and assisting guests with special needs.

SECURITY STAFF

Security Guard

Responsibilities: The Agganis Arena security staff member will assist with the entry and exit of guests into the venue while patrolling and monitoring the venue and guest behavior. This member may operate a magnetometer, perform bag checks, pat downs if needed as well as visual checks to ensure that no weapons or harmful items enter the venue.

Ensure guest/artist and employees safety by proactive measures to remove hazards in areas of responsibility. Prohibit access as venue instructs, from re-entry into the building to backstage access, floor access and function room access. Monitor guest behavior in all areas of the venue to resolve any potential altercations among guest which could include alcohol consumption and destruction of property. Follow the responsibilities set prior to the event with an attention to customer service. Lead guests/artists and other employees to safety in emergency evacuation procedures. Maintain a presence by circulating and or being visible in your area. Set up areas before opening (Manometer, stanchions, tables etc.). Enforce House Policies regarding photo, video and food for each event.

Most importantly, help ensure the event is safe while providing a fun and welcoming atmosphere for an enjoyable experience for all.

OPERATIONS

Sports Videographers/Camera Operators

Responsibilities: Agganis Arena is looking for Student Videographers/Camera Crew to join our Game Day Multimedia team covering Division 1 NCAA Hockey & Basketball as well as internal BU events. These events occur several times a month and are typically on Friday & Saturday evenings. With direction from our professional management staff, our videographers/camera crew will record and broadcast live action video of Terrier Athletics sporting events from start to finish. The broadcast will include replays, audio, switching, editing, and live streaming from our newly redesigned control room.
