Storytelling Sovereignty with Monika Ille - CEO of Aboriginal Peoples Television Network in Winnipeg Canada

Monika Ille will discuss her career in media and share her thoughts on Storytelling Sovereignty. Monika is a member of the Abenaki First Nation of Odanak and is CEO of Aboriginal Peoples Television Network (APTN) the first Indigenous owned media company in the world. She has built a rich and diverse portfolio over the course of nearly 30 years in the broadcasting industry. After university, she entered the industry by working for the Société Radio-Canada and then, for the National Film Board (NFB). This event is part of the Indigenous Voices in the Americas series.
