The Boston University Terriers have enjoyed unparalleled success for more than eight decades and currently play to a sold-out house at Agganis Arena.
Owners of four NCAA Division 1 national titles―more than any eastern school―the Terriers have also won the coveted Beanpot Championship 26 times in that tournament's 52-year history. With five Hockey East Tournament titles and five ECAC Tournament titles, there are more than enough tournament trophies to fill a hockey rink!
Success and Terrier hockey have gone hand-in-hand. During the last 30 years, Terrier hockey has been guided by head coach Jack Parker who, with 715 victories, is in second place for total wins among active coaches and in first place for all-time wins by a Division I coach at the same institution!
Nineteen of Parker's former players have gone on to be Olympians, including Mike Eruzione, Jim Craig, Jack O'Callahan, and David Silk, who were on the 1980 "Miracle On Ice" U.S. Olympic Gold Medal team. What's more, 17 former Terriers were on an NHL team at the conclusion of the 2003-04 season.
