The Boston University men’s ice hockey program will welcome seven newcomers to its 2007-08 roster, as announced today by head coach Jack Parker. Nick Bonino, Joe Pereira, Victor Saponari and Colin Wilson will bolster the team’s forward lines, while Colby Cohen and Kevin Shattenkirk will join the Terriers’ defensive corps. Goaltender Adam Kraus rounds out the freshman group.

The Terriers’ 37-game slate will feature 16 dates at Agganis Arena, including 13 Hockey East contests, games against ECACHL schools Harvard and Dartmouth, and an exhibition against the U.S. National Under-18 Team.

Former Boston University standout Joe DiPenta has become the sixth Terrier to be part of a Stanley Cup championship team, as the defenseman helped the Anaheim Ducks claim the title with a 6-2 victory on Wednesday at the Honda Center. Anaheim captured its first ever Cup by winning the series in just five games.
