Why spend your Valentines Day eating boxed chocolate when you could be erging? This February 14th Boston University’s Agganis Arena opens to the rowing community for the 2010 C.R.A.S.H.-B Sprints. The event, which stands for Charles River All Star Has Beens, hosts over 2,000 rowers making it the largest indoor rowing event of the year.

The Charles River All-Star Has-Beens (C.R.A.S.H.-B.) began as a group of U.S. Olympic and World team athletes competing on Concept2 ergometers to break up the monotony of winter training. Twenty-nine years later, the C.R.A.S.H.-B. Sprints are the world international indoor rowing championship with approximately 2,500 competitors of all ages from 14 to 91. The competition has outgrown six facilities and now takes place at Boston University’s Agganis Arena.

All races are 2,000 meters on the latest Concept2 Model D ergometers. First race starts at 9 am, last race approximately 5:15 pm with races starting every 15 minutes.

Erg Sales- If you plan on purchasing an Erg from Concept2, please park inside the Agganis Arena Parking Garage (Lot A) on the East Side of the garage, closest to the Freight Elevator. This will provide the most direct route to get your purchase to your vehicle.

Food and Beverage- Outside food and beverage are not allowed in Agganis Arena. Food and beverage are available on the concourse for purchase once inside.
